SBAC
The Senior Blizzard Alarm Community
Who are the users
Challenges
The users of the SBAC are the Seniors who live alone in remote areas of North America. Those are the ones who are the most afflicted by extreme weather, a blizzard in particular.
Seniors who live by themselves in areas affected by blizzards need support, from a primary needs such as grocery and medicines, to snow shoveling the driveway. Most of them feel lonely and anxious, and they do not know how to handle a blizzard that is coming.
The goal is to design a dedicated mobile app & a responsive web app to create a way to warn the seniors that a blizzard is coming. Give support and help with grocery shopping, medicine, and other services. Also, they need to be in touch with the community, have fun activities during the blizzard, and deal with anxiety.
